Multi-Tiered System of Supports
MTSS: Multi-Tiered System of Supports
At Burlingame High School, we understand that one size of education does not fit all students.
Multi-Tiered System of Supports: The Burlingame High School approach to our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is made up of a three-level approach in supporting students Academically, Behaviorally, Emotionally, and Socially. We are proud of this work and continue to refine the process and programs; for more information about our Multi-Tiered System of Supports approach, review our Multi-Tiered System of Supports Programs at the link to the right.
To assist the wide variety of learning needs on our campus, we offer a number of campus- and district-based programs. The information in this section offers an overview of each of these programs along with detailed information on how students may qualify or participate in these programs.
Accessing Formalized Student Support Programs: Parents should contact their student's School Counselor to discuss formal supports if their students are experiencing great difficulties in the areas of academics or social / emotional issues. School Counselors will support parents through the request processes for 504 and Special Education eligibility determination.
