Dear Burlingame Students & Families,
Welcome to the Panther Class of 2028. On behalf of the administration (returning Assistant Principals Ms. Malcolm & Ms. Gibson; new Assistant Principal, Ms. Arbizu), I hope you have an engaging 2024-25 school year.
The first day of school is August 14th. We will see 9th graders for Panther Prep Registration on Friday, August 9th and 10th-12th graders on Tuesday, August 13th. Refer to Panther Prep Details.
Incoming 9th graders will also participate in Frosh Orientation led by our ASB and Leadership classes at 8am on August 9th. Yep! It’s time to wake up and get out of bed!
Refer to our Bell Schedule for which periods meet on which days, as well as special schedules and no school days. For the first three days of school, students will attend all of their classes, periods 1-7 to build community with their peers and teachers.
This year, I would like students to join me in being UPSTANDERS. How can each of us contribute to building an inclusive, welcoming environment at BHS? Be upstanders-say something if you see someone making a racist or inappropriate comment. And, please, clean up after yourselves in the classroom and quad.
This year, phones are not permitted in classrooms and must be checked into a phone pouch. In addition, students must use a school-issued chromebook and not a personal laptop. Every night, it is critical to charge your device.
Please note that schedules will not be changed for period or teacher requests and may be changed only for the following reasons based on counselor review of the student transcript: missing a class required for graduation, placed into wrong level, hole in schedule, or completed summer school course. The counseling department will serve students according to the following approximate alpha last names. We wish Mr. Buckner the best of luck in his new role as Assistant Principal and will be filling the vacancy shortly.
